Hacci

Built

Hacci

A temporary shop inside Mall of the Emirates for a Japanese skincare house with roots in a bee farm founded in 1912. Fifty square metres, installed and removed without touching the building, which meant every element had to stand on its own.

The wall behind the counter is made of the product: hundreds of hive-shaped amber jars set in a close grid and lit from behind, so the brand's own object becomes the only real light source in the room. Everything else stays quiet against it — white walls traced with a thin brass line, red lacquer tables, and a rough wooden ladder hung with jars on red string, left deliberately unfinished among the polish.
