A second branch for an Italian optician, opening in Dubai with the material his first shop was built from: travertine, the stone Rome is made of. Not a decorative reference but the actual thing, in a mall where most units are finished in what is cheapest to install and fastest to replace.

The examination room is glazed in smart glass, clear when empty and opaque the moment it is in use. In seventy square metres a solid partition would have cut the shop in half; this way the space stays whole and only closes when it has to.
